DIY Zero-Waste Coffee Scrub

DIY Coffee Scrub

Dry, dull winter skin got you down? Try this low-waste tip for glowing and refreshed skin! Used coffee grounds can easily be transformed into an antioxidant-rich exfoliating scrub that you can use every week to give your skin the glow you deserve.

Coffee scrub benefits-->
☕ Coffee has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties to help with acne and inflamed skin.
☕ Coffee is an antioxidant and will help protect your skin from the harsh environment.
☕ Coffee is a wonderful exfoliate that will remove dead skin cells and help reduce lines and scarring by promoting new skin cells to form.

To make a low or zero-waste coffee scrub, all you need is your used coffee grounds (borrow a friend or neighbors if you don't drink it), a hydrating liquid such as coconut oil, honey, olive oil, plant milk, or almond oil, and any other additions you might have on hand like a pinch of salt, brown sugar, or a drop or two of Lavender EO.

I like to keep mine simple and do 2 tbsp. of used coffee grounds, 2 tsp. of raw honey, and 1 drop of Lavender EO. Use this all over your body or anywhere you need extra exfoliating love.

Tip- Some people with sensitive skin might benefit from the coffee grounds being extra fine with an espresso grind or even instant coffee powder.

Take your scrub into the shower once or twice a week and gently scrub all the dullness away! Finish up with your favorite herbal facial toner (like our Soothing Facial Toner) and a moisturizer to feel refreshed and renewed.
